Our Pinot Grigio is probably our most popular wine. We source all our Pinot Grigio from Zenato – a family-run vineyard in the Veneto region of north-east Italy. Donatello actually buys almost all of the Pinot Grigio made by Zenato – In order to check the quality at source, and most definitely not for a sun-drenched jolly, we headed to Zenato HQ on the southern shores of Lake Garda to see production for ourselves.
Of course, Zenato Pinot Grigio is just one of the superb Italian wines featured on our extensive wine list. We carry a huge selection of red, white and rosé wines with flavours to compliment every dish on the menu. Why not head to Donatello in Brighton Lanes and see for yourself? With 2-course meals starting at just £8.95, Donatello is the perfect place to relax and unwind over a leisurely lunch or evening meal.
Reservations are no always necessary, but can be made using the booking form HERE or by calling us directly on (01273) 775477.
Donatello and Pinocchio are two of Brighton’s most celebrated restaurants, famous for our superb food, friendly atmosphere and great value prices. We also recognise the importance of complementing our menu with a varied and balanced wine list to really bring out the best in our delicious dishes.

‘We started growing organic grapes back in the 70’s. and we were one of the first of the to get certified. My mom was getting sick and they found out that it were the treatments used in the vineyards the cause of that. We changed everything overnight and there was no option to go back for us. We never regretted that decision! We live in such a beautiful place where sea and mountains are close by and we want our wines delivering such purity.’ Donatello Jasci
They also focus on their own varieties without mixing them. For examplethat in the early 90’s there were just 14 hectares of Pecorino vineyards planted between Abruzzo, Umbria and Lazio. Over one third of those (and the oldest one) were Jasci Donatello ones.
