how did donotello come back
Writers Tom Waltz and Kevin Eastman, who is the co-creator of TMNT, has committed to a plan to make the Turtles more grounded in reality. Usually, the word “grounded” is mostly used by DC and Warner Bros., but now it appears others are taking notice and going this route with their comics.
Donatello made a valiant and brave effort to fend off Rocksteady and Bebop. He even had help from Metalhead, who was being controlled by Harold Lillia. Despite having help, the evil duo was too much, and both heroes fell.
In the fourth season, during an outbreak of mutations of people and animals in New York, Don got a nasty gash by a monster while fighting several monsters with his brothers. Then in the episode “Return of Savanti Romero” Don ended up coming down with the sniffles. Later in the episode “Adventures in Turtlesitting”, he went from a turtle who was home ill with the flu to a monster himself as a result. A similar situation happened with Raphael in the comics.
In this film, Donnie also seems to show a bit more emotional care for Mikey than in the previous films. According to the short “Mikey’s Birthday Party” Donnie helps Mikey with his job as a character entertainer named “Cowabunga Carl” by communicating with Mikey via cameras and head gear in order to remind him to hand-out flyers and to get cash (not checks). This seems to irritate Mikey to a large degree. (The 2007 movie never mentions age as a deciding factor). In the game tie-in his IQ is “off the charts”. Don is voiced by Mitchell Whitfield.
Donatello joined his family in escaping the flyborgs and M.O.U.S.E.R. robots, transforming into a boat to carry his father away. He also participated in the Gauntlet ritual that pitted him against the mutant shark Bludgeon, whom he succeeded in permanently blinding. However, he received a transmission during the battle and initiated the robot’s self-destruct, only to reappear in the arena as a newly-healed, flesh-and-blood Donatello. He then participated in the fight against Shredder, and witnessed his father’s acceptance of the Foot Clan leadership.
In the IDW Comics, Donatello, just like his brothers, is one of the reincarnated sons of Hamato Yoshi, who were murdered in medieval Japan by the Shredder. He began his new life in the present as a water turtle hatchling which was to be used as an experimental guinea pig in the laboratory of StockGen Research, Inc., Baxter Stockman’s genetics laboratory for an experiment to create naturally armored super soldiers. Some ninja tried to seize the Turtles and various other research results from the laboratory, including a super solider mutagen. The intervention of his also-reborn father, now a lab rat, led to the Turtles and Splinter being wetted with a chemical cocktail that made them ultimately mutants, with more human-like bodies, cognition and speech.
It closes with Splinter uttering he words, “My poor brave son.”
Couldn’t any of them run it from the base?
Donatello and his brothers were once ordinary turtles; when they were infants, they were adopted from a pet store by Hamato Yoshi. When their soon to be father walked passed a strange man, a Kraangdroid, he felt something odd about him and followed. Unfortunately, Yoshi gave away his position when he accidentally stepped on a brown rat’s tail. The Kraang found him and attempted to kill him, but Yoshi fought back hard. In the end, the Kraang dropped the canister of Mutagen they were holding causing the turtles and Yoshi to mutate. Yoshi, having to have stepped on that rat last, thus mutated into a humanoid brown rat by the name of “Splinter”, while Donnie and his brothers, after coming in contact with Splinter when he was human, mutated into humanoid turtles. Splinter knew they would never be accepted in society, so he took them to the sewers, made a home down there, and made the four turtles his children. Knowing the world would be dangerous and there would be a time where they want to explore the outside world, Splinter trained the boys in the art of Ninjitsu. Donnie and his brothers were named after great Renaissance artists from a book Splinter fished out of the storm drain.
